This is Part 1 of a two-part event, in which the foundations of a Vampire story are laid. The characters created for the game will continue into Part 2. It is not necessary for you to play in both games.

  • Title: Wreck of the SS Morro Castle

  • Description: The SS Morro Castle was a luxury ship, making the three-day run between Havana and New York. She left Havana on Sept. 5th, 1934. On Sept. 7th, with increasing rain, rising winds and rough seas, Captain Robert Willmott begged off from the traditional dinner at the Captain's Table, asking a steward to bring his meal to his cabin. Hours later, he was found dead. Early in the morning of Sept. 8th, a fire broke out and quickly swept through the ship. 137 passengers and crew lost their lives before the burned-out hulk beached itself near Asbury Park, New Jersey. This is all true. To this day, no one is certain what happened during the last voyage of the Morro Castle. Let's find out.

Description:

Your best friend was shot last week and no one on the street is sure if it was a cop, a warlock or something summoned from hell. Next week is the school's first formal dance and you don't yet have a date. There is a bad-ass troll under the bridge leading to your borough, zombies lurk in abandoned buildings and the streets are rife with magic.

It is just another winter on Warlock Corner.

GAME: Unsung

TITLE: The Pale Blue Line

DESCRIPTION: After a bitter civil war, Equatorial Kundu has held elections, the world's attention has turned to the next crisis, and the UN force there is in the midst of draw-down. As members of one of India's all-female formed police units, you're just trying to finish your job of leaving the national police ready to do theirs in the still-fragile country before you pull out at the end of the month.

UNSUNG is a game that focuses on the moral challenges faced by people in difficult and often violent situations, such as war and police work. The game encourages players to add details to the fiction that will force difficult moral choices on other characters.

PLAYERS: 3-5, serious, over 18

DAY/TIME: I could take pretty much anything from Friday evening - Sunday morning, but would prefer to avoid the midnight slots.

[Note for the current-events-minded: the scenario is inspired by the experiences of India's actual female FPUs in Liberia, but the details will fictionalized.]

Houses of the Blooded -- The Curious Happenings at the Duke's Soiree -- Among the Ven, the word for Love and Revenge is the same. It's all a matter of stress. Duke Ato Yvarai is having a Grand Unveiling Party at his castle. Days and nights of swirling intrigue, illicit romances and flashing duels all capped off by the presentation of the Duke's new masterpiece. It's sure to be the social event of the year and you and your companions were lucky enough to make the guest list. If you're lucky enough to survive it, you'll be the envy of your peers. This is a game for 4-6 players using John Wick's Houses of the Blooded game. One part Elric, one part Dangerous Liaisons, and always very stylish. Over 18 only, please.

I'd like to run this twice during the con and my preferred times are Friday afternoon and Saturday afternoon (in particular) and Friday or Saturday (in general).

Bleeding Hearts - PTA - Episode 1 : Visiting Hours - Come join the overacting cast, the plot inconsistencies, and all the double entendres of this new hit soap opera. The staff and patients of Memorial Hospital will never be the same.

Using the PTA rules, we will play through an episode of this new, over the top, medical soap opera. Characters are pregenerated, as is the starting situation. This will be the first episode in an ongoing convention play PTA series.

3-6 Players Funny, over 18. Friday 9am or any Thursday/Friday Slot

Cold Sleep - PTA - Episode 1 : Wake Up Call - A spaceship with a crew in cryosleep, is about to wake up its inhabitants. Only a few problems remain to be solved before landing the colonists on their new home :. The ships psychiatrist has died in transit, the maintenance clerk wants to take over the ship, and the ships quartermaster is receiving signals from a unknown ship following close behind.

Using the PTA rules, we will play through an episode of this new, sci-fi drama. Characters are pregenerated, as is the starting situation. This will be the first episode in an ongoing convention play PTA series.

Super Villain Rehab - PTA - Episode 1 : New Beginnings - Follow the exploits of a group of somewhat reformed super villains, their normal parole officer, and the jaded super hero sent to mentor them.

Using the PTA rules, we will play through an episode of this new, super powered comedy. Characters are pregenerated, as is the starting situation. This will be the first episode in an ongoing convention play PTA series.
